Chinese Windmill Palms

(Trachycarpus fortunei) - One of the most cold hardy palms available and is drought tolerant requiring little water. The erect, single trunk of Windmill Palm is covered with dense, brown, hairlike fibers on a shiny brown and green background. The fan on the fronds unlike most fan type palms is split and not webbed giving it a unique majestic look. Height and spread can be controlled by the size of its container and planted in the ground can reach heights of 9 to 12 feet with a Spread of 6 to 10 feet. Beautiful bright green on silky green fronds that appear to erupt from the trunk, makes for the perfect addition to any tropical or jungle landscape.
